Kentwell Hall Wedding - Andy & Emma
18th April 2015
My first wedding of the year took me to a beautiful part of the Suffolk countryside on a crisp sunny morning in late April. It was strange going to photograph a wedding having never before met or spoken to the bride or groom.
Let me explain. Andy and Emma had decided not to have a professional photographer attend their wedding day. They were planning to ask for copies of the images their guests took throughout the day. Luckily their friends and families had other ideas and secretly booked me to attend on the day as a lovely surprise gift to the couple.
My day started with Andy and his best man in the village pub near to Kentwell Hall. I’ll say Andy seemed a little nervous as he sipped a half before walking up the impressive driveway to the hall.
Emma arrived in a beautifully restored Morris 1000 with her dad at her side. I'm sure Andy's nerves from before soon melted away once he saw Emma walking down the short aisle through the magnificent Great Hall towards him.
There were plenty of happy tears throughout the service. As the couple left the hall to be showered with confetti it was clear to see how happy Andy and Emma's friends and family were that they had become husband and wife.
Following drinks in the courtyard we headed into the opulent dining room for the wedding breakfast, lots of laughter and more tears during the speeches. I followed the wedding party on to their reception at No. 10 Wine Bar and Kitchen in the beautiful Village of Lavenham where the party continued long into the night.
Kind words from Emma & Andy about their Kentwell Hall Wedding.
"Thank you so much for sending the thank you cards, USB and gorgeous photos! They're so amazing and we're so thrilled! So, thank you! I can't believe we were not going to have a photographer! I'm so glad we did!!! Thanks again" - Emma and Andy
